13th edition: Venezuela
Our Cottage of Cultures Venezuela event wrapped up yesterday with a relaxing evening in the Dodo organization's greenhouse.
We explored Venezuela’s geography, culture, politics, and language, followed by a Kahoot game to learn some phrases and expressions used in Venezuela.
For the environment topic, we learned about the mining situation in the Amazon, how it affects the environment, the lives of the indigenous people, their living areas, and more. Then we discussed how different parties in society, from corporations and governments to individual consumers, can help improve these issues.
Last but not least, our highlight was the mouthwatering Venezuelan dishes: Casabe al ajillo, Arepas con caraotas, and their special lemonade. Above all, we had an amazing time socializing and making friends on a beautiful Finnish summer day.
