14th edition: Ukraine

On our 14th edition of Cottage of Cultures we had Ukraine ! 🌾
So, let`s try to recap this evening in short, as it was very concentrated event 😝:
We caught the best Finnish summer weather at the Dodo organization's greenhouse again. Firstly, started with a very bonding icebreaker, where together were searching for somebody with chinchilla or turtle as a pet😅🐇
Then moved to the presentation part of the country with it`s geography, a bit of history, must-see places, movies and must-try food, quiz about serious and silly facts and concluded with life nowadays and current events and news in Ukraine.
Important was to highlight the ecological disaster of Kakhovka dam🌊 and its consequences on the flora and fauna, especially on endemic species🦎 and therefore we had a small discussion within participants about it.
Host volunteers organised small dancing workshop and invited everybody to the kitchen to try to cook varenyky (Ukrainian dumplings) by themselves, and it was a SUCCESS! (check photos😋 ) And plus to classic salad, vinegret, uzvar and cookies (as always on our events - vegan) we felt the fest in the air and bellies.
